The Espressofabriek is the ideal meeting place at the Westergasfabriek. There is WiFi, old-fashioned apple cake and of course the best coffee made by a genuine barista. At lunchtime, tramezzini (Italian sandwiches) are served. And towards the end of the day you can enjoy a good glass of wine or a refreshing beer.
Building history
The Espressofabriek is housed in the Westelijk Meterhuis, which was built in 1985. Originally, the architecture of this small building was an identical reflection of the Oostelijk Meterhuis. The two buildings’ function was also identical, as they both housed gas meters. Both buildings feature the distinctive wooden Philibert truss supporting the roof.
