Swing away, climb about
The eastern section, adjoining the baby day-care centre, has playground equipment for the young ones (aged 4 and younger) including low swings and a climbing frame. The dominant colour here is yellow, with plants such as robinia, lilies and Chinese witch hazel alongside the red-berried elder.
The western section, adjoining the toddlers’ day-care centre has a splendid climbing frame overgrown with ivy, where the older children (aged 4 to 8) can clamber about to their heart’s content.
The garden playgrounds are situated along the park’s central thoroughfare, the Gosschalklaan, near the Transformatorhuis. The entrance is between the two ‘Bazenwoningen’. The play areas are always open to all children.
