Small objects of great art – is the conception of SIERAAD – the only art fair for professional contemporary jewellery designers in the Netherlands. The 12th edition will be the most international one yet and takes place from 7-10 November in the Gashouder of the Westergasfabriek. This year the fair will be represented by more than 160 jewellery designers from over 28 countries.

Once again the Gashouder is chosen as platform where professional contemporary jewellery designers can sell and show their work directly to the public. To add lustre to this edition of SAF there will be some special events like the 3D jewellery designs of Peggy Bannenberg, and some striking presentations. The international aspect of the SIERAAD Art Fair is reflected in the wide variety of nationalities, including the professional jewellery designers from Germany, Spain, Belgium, France, England, Korea, Japan, Israel, Argentina and Finland. SAF’s defining feature is the dialogue between the designers and the public. Audiences meet artists and designers create a fan base, but it’s also a source of inspiration due to the creative and unconventional designs that are exhibited.

Unique jewellery
“The emphasis lies on art jewellery where creative ideas are set in materials like rubber, textile, photographs, plastics, wood or ceramics, but also in silver and gold,” according to both organizers Asrtid Berens en Maarten Bodt. At the same time, the classical goldsmith’s trade is also represented at the fair.
